A Radio Farewell~

Dick Purtan (born July 11 as Paul Richard Purtan) Radio Hall of Fame and morning radio show host on Oldies 104.3 serving the Detroit, Michigan radio market. On the morning of February 11, 2010, Purtan announced his retirement effective March 26, 2010. After 45 years in broadcasting, last night Purtan signed off and it was very emotional for the Purtan family. Purtan says, "During his downtime he plans to start a webpage to keep in touch with his fans and also write a book".

Cooley High Alumni Rally~

Along with a long list of school closings Cooley has made the list. They will not go out without something to say. They are asking that all Cooley alumni and students come out for a rally to save the school. The rally will be held on Monday March 20th and Tuesday March 30th at 5:00p. Please come out and support a neighborhood school.
